I was surfing around a site when I found this saying and thought it was very true and really cool;
You can’t make the same mistake twice, the second time you make it, it’s a choice, not a mistake.
How cool is that? Remember it
I am not a big fan of computer games, especially not ones that require brains or any amount of time. A simple game that I can bring up and play for 5 or 10 minutes and not think about it again for months is what I generally go for. If it costs more than $10 USD then you can forget it. I am married and the general puts the kibosh on any frivolous expenditures like that I can tell ya. But then I saw this promotional video for Sim City 5
OK so today I got what had to have been the most disturbing news I have heard in the past two weeks or so. Apparently pro ‘wrastler’ legend Hulk Hogan has a sex tape out there for sale. It looks as though some unknown third party is shopping the tape aroound to some big porn companies as reported by TMZ.com. Now I understand that there are probably dozens of women who would jump the elderly atheletes bones in a heartbeat. And a few decades ago there might have even been hundreds of babes that would have gladly ground all over his pelvis.
But COME ON NOW! The dude is probably pushing 150 by now and you just know if he gets naked his body would resemble a lumpy candle that has been left out in the sun too long. How could that serve to get anyone horny male or female? Sure his money would arouse quite a few gold digging hunnies, but just how hard up for entertainment would someone have to be to search out and watch a video of the Hulkster bumpin uglies with some hottie?
The thought of the blonde haired wrinkle-fest shouting “whatcha gonna do when hulkamania cums splashing down on YOU!…..Bruthuh” has left me scared for life. Please Hulk, if the tape exists, do whatever you have to do to kill it ever going public. It will NOT revitalize your career.
I do not generally like to read the comments that I find on articles posted on news sites like Yahoo News. However, today I ran across someone who posted something so monumentally ignorant and arrogant that I just had to release a bit of steam about it. The article is not entirely relevant but I will point out that it was concerning Global Climate Change.
This brilliant scribbler tried to make the argument that global climate change is a naturally occurring phenomenon and cited, of all things, the great dust bowl of the 1930s. Without even realizing it he proved that mankind has the ability to change the environment that we live in through actions detrimental to the ecosystem. While global warming is a very long term, worldwide problem, the dustbowl was a localized one.
Certain natural factors played a role in the 1930s catastrophe but so did man. The farmers of the time were ignorant to things they could have done differently such as rotating their crops, creating tree lines to break the wind as well as giving acres of land time to recuperate between seasons and using less invasive tilling methods.
When the farmers over plowed and planted the fields it broke down the top soil and made it more ‘dusty’. Combined with a drought that last more than one year and the commonly windy condition of the plain states and what you have is a perfect recipe for disaster and that is exactly what happened. The black blizzards of the 1930s was a horrible experience to have to live through but, it proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that mismanagement by humanity is quite capable of making a rich ecosystem completely unlivable.
